Welcome to Carey Baptist Church
Marlowes, Hemel Hempstead
(Opposite Town Civic Centre)
We are a town centre church, where the congregation gather from all over Hemel.
We are affiliated to the BUGB and Churches Together in Hemel Hempstead.
Our task is "To know Christ and to make Him known"
We do this through worship, fellowship and service. Our main worship service is at 10:30am each Sunday morning.
We follow a pattern of different types of service throughout each month.
The first Sunday is a traditional preaching service
The second Sunday is all-age family worship
The third is a preaching service with communion
The fourth is an alternative style
And if there are five Sundays, this is a healing and prayer service.
We have one evening service at 6:30pm on the first Sunday of each month. All services are followed by refreshments in the Memorial Hall at the back of the church.
Children are always welcome. We have a Junior Church that meets in different age groups. They stay in the main service for the first part and then go to their groups.
We also have a youth group which meets on Friday evenings (7:15 to 8:45pm), Girls Brigade on Thursday evenings (6:30 to 8:00pm) and an annual week away, called Carey Youth Camp.
We also have a weekly Prayer and Bible Study Group, meeting on Thursday mornings at 10:00am to 11:00am. We are presently studying "The Purpose Driven Life".
